The Raasay Pitlochry Concert takes place in Pitlochry Town Hall the Friday evening before the Glenfiddich on October 30, 2026. It’s quite different to the Raasay Competition in that the emphasis is much less on playing for step-dancing, and is instead simply a concert of top class piping.

The aim is to provide a varied, interesting – and entertaining – contrast to the equally top class competition piping that will take place the following day in the ball room of Blair Castle. The concert will feature:

  • Angus MacColl on Highland Pipes
  • Ross Ainslie on Border Pipes
  • inB, a superb quartet of sublime pipers from Scotland and Ireland playing pipes in the mellow key of B. Made up of Brighde Chaimbeul & Fin Moore on Scottish Smallpipes and Louise Mulcahy & Tairnán Ó Duinnchinn playing uilleann pipes.

Pulled together by Hamish Moore and very much focussing on taking piping back to its gaelic roots as celebrated at the Raasay Restitution Competition held annually in early September.
