The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association has confirmed that band registration fees will stay at their current rates for the 2027 season, with no increase for member bands.

Registration opened on October 17, and bands that pay on or before November 30, 2026 avoid a 20% late payment surcharge. The RSPBA Board says keeping fees steady is meant to give bands stability and certainty as they prepare for next season. The full release follows below.

As we look ahead to the 2027 season, the Board of Directors is pleased to confirm that band registration fees will remain unchanged for the coming season, with no increase to the current rates. Registration opens 17th October 2026.

The following registration fees apply to subscriptions paid on or before 30 November 2026.

  • UK Juvenile Band: ยฃ252.00
  • UK Adult Band: ยฃ277.00
  • UK New Juvenile Band: ยฃ277.00
  • UK New Adult Band: ยฃ302.00

Overseas Band Registration Fees

  • Non-UK Adult Band: ยฃ231.00

Overseas bands that are members of an RSPBA-subscribed Affiliate Association are entitled to a 50% reduction on the overseas registration fees listed above.

Payment Deadline and Late Fees

Please note that there is no separate arrears fee for bands.

However, a 20% late payment surcharge will apply to subscriptions paid after 30 November 2026. This surcharge does not apply to new bands joining the Association after this date.

We recognise the financial commitments involved in running a pipe band and appreciate the continued support of our member bands. By maintaining registration fees at their current levels, the Association aims to provide stability and certainty as bands prepare for the 2027 season.

Band registration fees play an essential role in supporting the Associationโ€™s operations, providing membership services and assisting our dedicated volunteers in the administration and successful delivery of the Major Championships and other Association activities throughout 2027 and beyond.

How to Pay

Payment can be made by the Band Secretary through the Band Management section of the RSPBA website.

Band Secretaries should log in using their registered email address to access their bandโ€™s account and complete the registration process. If using the secure login link option, please check your junk mail folder if the e-mail doesnโ€™t arrive in your inbox.

We thank all bands for their continued cooperation, commitment and support, and look forward to another successful season in 2027.
